Download OneText
Free for 14 days, everything works.
macOS 13 or later.
One download serves the trial and the paid app. After 14 days, buy a license and type your key into the app. Your settings stay as they are.
The first time you open it
macOS will ask for a few permissions. Each one is needed for a reason.
- Contacts. So you can pick people from your groups. Contacts are read on your Mac and go nowhere.
- Automation, for Messages. This lets OneText hand each text to the Messages app. It is the only way a Mac app can send them.
- Full Disk Access. OneText reads the Messages database on your Mac, read only, to check which phone line each text went out on and whether it was delivered. macOS keeps that file locked until you allow it. Open System Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Full Disk Access, and switch OneText on. The app shows a banner until you do.
Messages must be signed in on your Mac. To send SMS from your Mac, turn on Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone (Settings, Messages).
